VOD Cutters ("we", "us") turns streams and video podcasts into short vertical clips. This policy explains what information we collect through vodcutters.com and our service, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We're based in New York, USA. What we collect

When you ask for free samples: the name, email address and channel link you type into the form, and your phone number if you choose to add it. We only use the phone number if an email to you bounces.
When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to send.
When you subscribe: your name, email and billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Your stream content: to make clips, we download the public streams or VODs you point us to, or files you share with us.
Basic technical data: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies, and this site doesn't set any cookies.

How we use it

To make your free sample clips and send them to you.
To reply to you and to provide the clipping service if you subscribe.
To bill you and keep the records the law requires.
To email you about VOD Cutters. You can tell us to stop at any time, and we will.
To keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We only use service providers who help us run VOD Cutters:

Google (Workspace email, and Google Drive for delivering clips)
Cloudflare (website hosting and security)
Stripe (payments)

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

YouTube videos on this site

Our example clips are YouTube videos. Their preview images load from YouTube's image servers. The video player itself only loads when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once you press play, Google's privacy policy applies to that video.

How long we keep it

Sample requests: up to 12 months after we last heard from you, unless you become a client.
Client details: while you're subscribed, then as long as we need them for tax and billing records.
Stream footage: we delete the downloaded footage once your clips are delivered. Delivered clips stay in your own Google Drive folder.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 45 days. Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, the EU and the UK, you may have further rights under local law. We'll honor them and won't treat you differently for using them.

If you're in the EU or UK, we rely on your consent (sample requests), on our contract with you (the service), and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business.

Children

VOD Cutters is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to subscribe.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access limited to the people who run VOD Cutters. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll tell clients by email.
